Device Address Book Management

This feature allows a predefined list of email addresses (500 maximum), in the form of a Comma-Separated Value (CSV) file, to be imported into the mfp's internal address book (which can store up to 2,000 addresses). These email addresses will then be available to the user of this mfp. A CSV file is a plain text file with each entry on a separate line. An entry consists of an alias, which is the name that will be displayed, followed by a comma and an email address. There cannot be any commas within the aliases or addresses.  The CSV file must be in the format:

name1, name1@company.com

name2, name2@company.com

·

·

·

nameN, nameN@company.com

From the mfp, addresses can thus be searched using the alias name. The alias can be a name, nickname, as well as an email address.  If email addresses are already available on the mfp, it is a good idea to use the same format for all aliases (such as first name last name) to simplify searching.

Import

After you have chosen the CSV file, click this button to import the list of email addresses into the mfp's internal address book.

Note: Importing addresses into the mfp's internal address book is only available on Stand-Alone mfps, that is mfps not being serviced by the Digital Sending Software.  This is because an mfp does not utilize its internal address book when being serviced by the Digital Sending Software.
