DESCRIPTION: This package provides the Microsoft Windows Desktop client for supported HP Thin Client models running a supported operating system. Microsoft Windows Desktop client let you use and control a remote computers with Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop.

- Fixed an issue that caused connections to stop working when users tried to connect from a Private Network to Azure Virtual Desktop environment.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS :

  This add-on requires uncompressed free space on the flash memory (Drive C:)
  and uncompressed free space in the temporary folder. These space requirements
  must be met in order to successfully deploy this add-on.

  1) Space required on the flash memory for installation    : 200 MB    
  2) Space required on the flash memory after installation :  200 MB (with NTFS Compression)
  3) Space required in the temporary folder for installation : 100 MB


PREREQUISITES:    
-	.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later. You will need to install this on your Windows 10 IoT LTSC (21H2 and RS5). To download the latest version, see Download .NET Framework (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework). 

INSTALLATION
Download the file by clicking the Download or Obtain Software button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

Note: The write filter on HP thin clients prevents end users from writing files directly to the flash drive to protect both the device longevity as well as allow IT Admins control over what is permanent on the device. HP Write Manager allows Administrators the ability to create exceptions and permanence. If you are interested in enabling AutoUpdate please note that the write filter must be turned off fully. There is no way to make an exception that will allow auto-update without being so broad as to negate the usefulness of the write filter. 

    1) The write filter must be disabled prior to executing the Microsoft Windows Desktop client program
    2) Change the environment variables value for TEMP and TMP to c:\temp OR increase the HP Ramdisk (Z drive) to 575MB or greater for proper installation
    3) Reboot (make sure c:\temp is available after step 2)
    4) Run AVD_Windows365_Client_1.2.5255.exe to install the Microsoft Windows Desktop client   
    5) After executing the program, the write filter must be re-enabled & a reboot must be executed

Note: Install command for HPDM: "set TEMP=C:\temp & set TMP=C:\temp & AVDWindows365Client-1.2.5255.exe /s"
