DESCRIPTION:
This package creates files that contain an image of the System BIOS (ROM) for
the supported notebook models in the L77 and L78 ROM families. L77 ROM is for
the Entry Management Engine (ME) SKU, and L78 ROM is for the Full Management
Engine (ME) SKU. This package is used to flash the System ROM on a supported
notebook.

NOTE: To determine the ROM family and ROM date, press F10 on the notebook during
startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information.

NOTE: After this BIOS update is installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be
reinstalled.

- Provides improved security for UEFI EDK2. HP strongly recommends transitioning
promptly to this updated BIOS version.
- Updates the PXE code to version 1.5.53.
- Updates the Intel VBIOS to version 2175_0716.

NOTE: After this BIOS update is installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be
reinstalled.

FIXES:
- Fixes an intermittent issue where the system stops functioning when the system
is powered on with certain USB 3.0 hard drives connected to the USB 3.0 port.
- Fixes an intermittent issue where the battery in the system does not charge
properly after the system is stored for an extended period of time with the
battery installed.

NOTE: After this BIOS update is installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be
reinstalled.

HOW TO USE:
1. Download the file by clicking the Download or Obtain Software button and
saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where
the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
