DESCRIPTION:

This package creates files that contain the HPQFlash Utility and a binary image
of the System BIOS (ROM) for supported notebook models and operating systems.
The HPQFlash Utility is used to locally flash the System BIOS on notebooks
operating in a Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System
environment.

NOTE: To determine the ROM revision and ROM date, press F10 on the target
notebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System
Information.

- Fixes a timing issue inadvertently
introduced by the Intel ICH8M Chipset,
which causes the Gigabit Ethernet
Controller (Network Interface Controller
[NIC]) to be loaded with an incorrect
device identifier. If a previous system
BIOS version is installed, a one time
reenumeration of the NIC occurs.
