Image Adjustment
The Image Adjustment options allow performing some transformations
of the scanned image. These transformations include automatic adjustment of image size, straightening and rotation.
The following operations are available.
- Auto crop - this operation automatically recognizes the
image and the background and crops the image.
- Auto straighten - this operation automatically detects
the displacement angle of an image and straightens it.
- Auto rotation - this operation automatically detects
the correct orientation of an image and rotates it accordingly. To rotate text documents automatically
you can configure the Auto setting.
- Auto - automatically detects whether the image is
a portrait or a landscape and rotates the image accordingly.
- Portrait - automatically detects whether a portrait
image is upside-down and rotates accordingly. You should only use this option
with portrait images. Landscape images will be rotated incorrectly.
- Landscape - automatically rotates a landscape image 90
degrees, and then detects whether the image is upside-down and rotates
accordingly. You should only use this option with landscape images that are
rotated 90 degrees during scanning. Portrait images will be rotated incorrectly.
- You can also configure text direction as Left to right or
Right to left. Default value is Left to right.
Right to left is used for languages such as Hebrew or Arabic.
Note: The Auto rotation only works for images with
printed text. Images without text will be rotated incorrectly.
Note: When one or more adjustment or enhancement options are turned on,
every scanned image is transformed with all selected operations applied
sequentially.
