Additional Settings
The Additional settings options allow special processing of scanned images. These transformations include stitching several partial image scans into a single image, processing of scanned books and watermark stamping.
You can set up one of the following additional image transformations.
- Poster stitch - this operation merges images in horizontal or vertical sequences or stitches together images that have been scanned.
This feature is useful in cases when you want to get or create wide images like poster. During this operation images are automatically searched for
corresponding areas on adjacent images. Proper orientation and image size are set and then the images are stitched into one image.
The following option is available.
- Stitch right after scanning – if this check box is checked, stitch operation performs automatically right after
scanning is done in Poster Stitch window
Note: This operation works well when adjacent images are overlapped as much as possible.
Note: We recommend to use Poster stitch together with Prompt for additional pages or Start from scanner option.
- Book scan - this is the enhancement of document scanning which eliminates distortion of central band in scanned books’ images and allows separating book pages.
The following options are available.
- Page separation – if this check box is checked, it separates the pages of a scanned open book.
- Center area correction – if this check box is checked, it automatically adjusts the center area of a scanned open book. There are 2 options available.
- Shadow – if this check box is checked, it automatically adjusts the shadows caused by an open book scanning.
- Distortion – if this check box is checked, it automatically adjusts the text distortion caused by an open book scanning.
Note: There are two types of scanned book images.
 (Landscape image) |
 (Portrait image) |
Note: In order to make 2 separate pages, scanned books images should be "Landscape".
Note: Distortion option will be ignored for Portrait image.
- Watermark - option allows creating and inserting a watermark as Text or Image on the background of scanned image.
The Preview window shows how the scanned image will look like after scanning and stamping the watermark.
- Text - allows creating one or more text watermarks.
Enter desired text or select one from the list of previously used texts. The following text options are available.
- Font - allows user to select font name
- Size - allows user to select the font size.

- Style – allows user to select the font style.
- Shade – allows user to select shade effect (for Windows only)
