A speed dial is a collection of fax numbers. When you use a speed dial, you automatically send the fax to each fax number that is included in the speed dial. Set up a speed dial for a group of fax numbers that you commonly use together, such as a distribution list. Assign a name to the speed dial so you can easily identify the group of fax numbers.
Use this page to add, edit, or delete fax speed dial entries to and from the device. You can configure up to 100 speed dials. Each speed dial you create can contain up too 100 separate fax numbers.
All 100 of the fax speed dials are listed in the fax speed dial list. The word "available" appears next to the speed dials that have not yet been configured.
Note: Entries added to a fax speed dial only contain a fax number. The name associated with the fax number in the address book list is not added to the speed dial. This is different from entries in an email distribution list, which consist of e-mail addresses and their corresponding names.
To configure a new speed dial entry, or edit an existing entry, do the following:
Note: If you want to add multiple fax numbers to a speed dial, press and hold the Ctrl key while you click on and highlight each number from the address booklist box. When you have finished making your selections, click Add-->.
Note: To cancel your added entries, click Cancel . The Confirm Cancel page appears. Click OK to cancel the operation and lose the entries you have added or click Cancel to return to the previous page without losing your changes.
To delete an existing speed dial entry, do the following:
Note: If you want to clear all all of the speed dial entries from the device, click Clear All.... If you want to make a backup copy of the entries first, you can do this by using the device Import/Export feature.
You might encounter the following errors when adding, editing, or deleting fax speed dial entries. The Cause column in this table indicates the possible cause of the error.
