Use the Add or Edit a Predefined Folder page to add or edit predefined folders. You can select either an FTP folder or a shared folder. When you are finished entering folder information, press ENTER or click OK at the bottom of the page. If you do not want to enter or edit a folder, click Cancel at the bottom of the page.
Use the Destination Type setting to select either a shared folder (workstation/share) or FTP folder (FTP server) for the folder destination.
Use the Alias Name field to type an alias for the predefined folder. The alias must be unique for each predefined folder.
Use the Folder Path field to type the path name (UNC or Universal Naming Convention) of a predefined folder. This must be in the format \\hostname\sharepoint. The hostname is the NetBIOS computer name of a server or workstation where the files that are scanned will be written. A hostname is up to 15 printable alphanumeric characters or a dotted ip address such as 192.168.0.1, and a sharepoint is the share name as specified when configuring shares on the target host.
Use the Access Credentials to determine which credentials are used to access the predefined folder:

Click Test Folder Access to verify that the folder exists and can be accessed. If Public Credentials are to be used to access the folder, you will need to provide the credentials on the main page to complete the test. If MFP user credentials are to be used to access the folder, you will need to provide the MFP user credentials to complete the test.
Use the Alias Name field to type an alias for the predefined folder. The alias must be unique for each predefined folder.
Use the FTP Server field to type the name or IP address of the FTP server.
Use the FTP Command Port field to specify the port number used to access the FTP server. The default setting (21) is used by most FTP servers for accepting commands.
Use the FTP Path field to specify the full path name on the FTP Server where the image file and meta data will be placed.
Use the Username field to specify the username necessary to access the FTP server.
Use the Password field to specify the password necessary to access the FTP server.
Click Test FTP Credentials to verify that the digital sending software has proper access to the FTP server and path.
